Has anyone using pilot-link noticed a segmentation fault when trying to use pilot-addresses to download the address book off of a Palm and write it to a file?
I ran the command:
palm-addresses -p /dev/usb/tts/1 -w addresses.txt
with my Sony Clie T615C (using visor.o) and it seemed to get through the actual sync'ing process, but seg faulted when it tried to actually write the file.
Reverting to the previous version of pilot link: 0.11.5-r2 worked just fine, go figure, no segfaults with this version.
One more thing to note, I did not have tcltk in my USE variables when i emerged pilot-link the first time.
What sync'ing software do most of you use to keep track of your palm address books, and to forward e-mails written on the palm? _________________ Jonathan S. Romero

I just got pilot syncing to work again with evo 1.4 on my new system and it also crashed when I synced addresses. So I synced without the addresses once or twice and then added the conduit back in. The problem went away. Probably just coincidental though. We probably didn't have the same problem. |
