I'm sure I had this working on my old phone, but no luck with this one. gnome-phone-manager keeps trying to connect, but fails.
Code:

$ gnome-phone-manager -d
** Message: New connection device is 00:21:08:D8:98:3A
** Message: Connecting...
** Message: Status 1
** Message: Making serial port connection
conn_complete:  status 0x00

** (gnome-phone-manager:492): WARNING **: gn_gsm_initialise: Unknown error - well better than nothing
** Message: Failed connection to device on 00:21:08:D8:98:3A
** Message: Exiting connect thread
** Message: Auto-retrying the connection
** Message: New connection device is 00:21:08:D8:98:3A
...

The gnokii-identify tool from gnome-phone-manager is giving the same error. A posting here http://mlblog.osdir.com/gnome.apps.bluetooth/2006-09/index.shtml says:

I do get output
Code:

$ sdptool search --bdaddr 00:21:08:D8:98:3A DUN
Searching for DUN on 00:21:08:D8:98:3A ...

but no stable connection. Any ideas?

Well well.

Unmasking gnokii (0.6.27-r2) and gnome-phone-manager (0.60) did it.
