|
|
I want xterm and rox start merged together. Tabs is on and I added:
session.groupFile: ~/.fluxbox/groups
to the ~/.fluxbox/init file.
I also edited the ~/.fluxbox/groups file with:
xterm rox (seperated by tab)
but it seems the groupfile is ignored. Only programs in ~.xinitrc are executed.
What can I do to start xterm and rox tabbed together? |

I saw somewhere in the fluxbox page that groups support was disabled in some lastest versions... But i dont know why. Maybe you should look in the version log files there. |

It works, try to separate the names by space _________________ while true; do eject /dev/cdrom; eject -t /dev/cdrom; done |

It was disabled in fluxbox 0.9.3. They put it back in 0.9.4 Aleczapka?
I did not read it in release notes. |

aah.. this is not groups but group file!
~/.fluxbox/group
just rename it and everything should be ok
This way it works for sure in v0.9.4 - can't tell about v0.9.3 - I've never used it. _________________ while true; do eject /dev/cdrom; eject -t /dev/cdrom; done |

I don't think it will solve it. He put the same name in the session.groupFile and in it's ~/fluxbox directory. The name does not really matter, it could be whatever he wants as long as it matches the one he provided in the init file... I think. |

barlad is right, this should do
On Fluxbox documentation is mentioned that you should sparate it by Tab character (it worked with spaces last time I've checked also), so this can't be an issue anymore...
but the best solutions would be to upgrade to the latest dev version (v0.9.4 as for now), or maybe try cvs version out - there is new feature: toolbar tray icon. Was put into cvs today - me gonna try it now _________________ while true; do eject /dev/cdrom; eject -t /dev/cdrom; done |
