Power button on eeePC 701

Hello,

So far, I've had great success installing Gentoo with Xfce on my eee 701. I was able to slim the environment down to just 120 megs of RAM!

But enough of that. One of the items on my todo list is getting the power button on the laptop to actually do something. I'm not looking for a complete ZOMG PLS FIX THIS solution. If you guys could give me some documentation or point me in the right direction, I'd be a happy camper.
