Hi,
I am trying to install Gentoo on my V490, but the installation cd hangs during bootup. Any idea what can be causing this problem?
Note: I have enabled only 4GB of RAM (3 memory banks disabled using "asr-disable" for silo to start booting.

damn bad answer, but I would use 2007.0 or even 2006.1 or so and go with update
I got several v440 and v490 and they boots fine on one of those olders CDs. |
