looking for a good racing game for over a network

hello, just installed gentoo after my roommate converted me over to [gentoo] linux, have to say i'm loving it. at any rate i'm looking for a good racing game where we can all play over a network. it dosn't matter what kind. just looking for something, anything. most of the games i've seen that are emergeable don't have network play in them yet or are working on them. thanks in advance.

I think racer (emerge racer-bin) has multiplayer support. Setting it up is the tricky part (which I haven't played with yet)

awesome game, runs great on my system but not on the others so much. any others? something simple but not a bunch of block running around a circle most of the games i've looked at looked promising, line trophy but like i said, don't yet support MP.
