I need to install this version of vdr rather than the one in portage, and the one's in the attic, so I can't just emerge vdr.
I do ./vdr -Psc and get this error:
Quote: | ./vdr: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shard object file: No such file or directory |
I emerged glibc but still get the error.
That does just means that I don't have libstdc++ or libc6.2-2.so.3 right? Anyone know what those files are?
Thanx,

I su'd into root, why can't I install?

Oh, Duh, that might be the problem.
I have a second HD in my computer, when I dumped windows I installed linux on hda, hdb I couldn't add though, any good gentoo ways to do that? To do a vdr box one needs a lot of space.
Thanx,

Well, I guess I have two HD to put in, my old computer doesn't seem to like writeing to disk anymore, So I can have 140 gigs for my vdr. One question, I asked this before, but can't find the post I asked it: How big can a HD be before any special things have to be done for the OS to read it. I heard windows needs some weird software, does Linux?
Thanx,
