[SOLVED]evolution in sys tray?(or mailnotificationWithGmail)

Generally I'd like either evolution to run all the time with a tray icon or mail-notification working with gmails IMAP.

The first I doubt is possible and the second is problematic. mail-notification crashes with it's gmail functionality so I'm trying to get it working through IMAP but it complains about a sudden EOF from the server. I have 3 mail account to remember about and all 3 are on gmail. Evolution is working really good with this through IMAP but it's bound to a single workspace and takes a place on the taskbar all the time...

Possible?

If you only need to check gmail accounts maybe you can also try http://checkgmail.sourceforge.net/ . It is written in perl, ebuild is here https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117867 and if you install Gtk2-Sexy you can instantly mark messages as read, archive etc...

It looks pretty nice, but evolution in tray suites be better.
