hey i just got gentoo back on my pb g4 and ive been having several problems using emerge, in this case to get xfree.
#emerge xfree
Calculating dependencies |!!! Error merging /usr/portage/dev-lang/perl/perl-5.8.1_rc3.ebuild: invalid dependency in:

try this:
I bet you'll see some blocked packages. just remove the blocked packages, 'emerge -u perl' then you should be ok. there is a thorough discussion of this in one of the gentoo weekly news issues I think. _________________ http://www.desertsol.com/~kevin/ppc |
