This is Paul, I am new to the group. Recently I had a friend build me a Gentoo box. This is my setup
Gentoo --xovercable--XPPro PC--wireless--Linksys yadda, Yadda, Yadda.
Gentoo is on 192.168.0.201 address XPPro PC is 192.168.1.103. Two different subnets. I'd like to be able to SSH to my Gentoo box. I think my Gentoo PC is getting and IP address via DHCP from XPPro. I now for sure my XPPro is getting a DHCP address from my Linksys.
I have port forwarding enabled on my Linksys port's 22 and 3389. Also have those ports forwarded on XPPro. Can you tell me next steps on attempting an ssh session to my Gentoo box?
Also, there is no alternative physical connection set-up I can do at this time. I have to try to get this working the way I have it now.
Paul
