Although it's not very easy it can be done. Here are the steps:

  1. emerge -auvDN world
  2. emerge -C kde-meta
  3. emerge -p --depclean
  4. Check if only the correct packages (e.g. kde 4.2) are unmerged
  5. emerge --depclean
  6. remove kde-meta-4.2 from packages.keywords
  7. emerge kde-meta

I cant do this !

Code:
bloodflowerz / # emerge -p deepclean

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "deepclean".

bloodflowerz / # emerge depclean
Calculating dependencies... done!

emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "depclean".

Also when i do
Quote:
emerge --depclean

Quote:
emerge -p --depclean

i get this error

Code:

 * Depclean may break link level dependencies.  Thus, it is
 * recommended to use a tool such as `revdep-rebuild` (from
 * app-portage/gentoolkit) in order to detect such breakage.
 *
 * Always study the list of packages to be cleaned for any obvious
 * mistakes. Packages that are part of the world set will always
 * be kept.  They can be manually added to this set with
 * `emerge --noreplace <atom>`.  Packages that are listed in
 * package.provided (see portage(5)) will be removed by
 * depclean, even if they are part of the world set.
 *
 * As a safety measure, depclean will not remove any packages
 * unless *all* required dependencies have been resolved.  As a
 * consequence, it is often necessary to run `emerge --update
 * --newuse --deep world` prior to depclean.

You need to run emerge -auvDN world first:
