Hi,
I've gotten my Internet connection working with the PCMCIA network card in my laptop before by emerging pcmcia-cs after compiling the kernel, running the modprobe commands for pcmcia_core/i82365/ds, doing an rc-update for pcmcia, and editing a few files for the right IP addresses and such. This was for a Gentoo system setup with the gentoo-sources kernel package, but today I have done a fresh new install with xfs-sources instead and the same instructions for the pcmcia card aren't working. All the beeps happen in the right place and everything appears to be starting up just fine except it's telling me that it's not finding something related to tulip_cb . Is there a chance that the pcmcia info for tulip_cb isn't included with the xfs-sources kernel (I'd like to use XFS for my system...)? Or is there some extra tulip/cb related package I should be emerging? |

AFAIK, xfs-sources only adds an XFS patch or two to the regular kernel. I don't believe it removes anything from the stock version. So, the tulip driver should still be there.

I think xfs-sources are quite outdated, check the latest gentoo-sources, XFS should be included with many other goodies |
