hi there,

I am setting up a wireless router in a frat house and was wondering if there was a was to limit the bandwidth used by each person. And possibly change it if a person wants to pay more per month (of bandwidth)

Does anyone know of wireless routers that have this capability?

The best solution I can think of is to install a wireless PCI card in a linux box and put it in "master" (access point) mode. You'll have full control over all traffic that way.

You'll need to configure it as a router. But you'll be able to use accounting, etc.

isn't the range of these cards kinda limited?

do you know of any that take antennas so that the signal they transmit can be boosted?
