I don't have any such option with gentoo-sources-2.6.28-r2.
Any ideas why not? |

I don't have the option either, just module loading/unloading support. Currently I try to find changes that were made, I remember to read somewhere about the move of the module loading options out of some submenu... searching
//edit: I am not on the system, could someone check if it is enabled by default? CONFIG_KMOD=y
//edit: this got completly removed O.o link |

So the way I read that, autoloading is always on, if modules are? Then I'm gonna post a new question about why my modules don't autoload |

Since your problem is not related to the kernel module autoloading, any more details?
Which module should load and isn't loaded?
Since openrc you basicly just emerge the package and check if udev is in /etc/runlevels/sysinit
Manual loaded modules are in /etc/conf.d/modules, check this guide for those settings. |

I don't recall at the moment what exactly the problem was. I assumed the problem was I hadn't enabled module autoloading. I'll get back with a more specific question when I have one.
I think it was related to KVM not autoloading bridge or somesuch |
