I burnt a CD from /usr/portage/packages, and I borked my gentoo installation. Its easier if I just reinstall. So how do I use the packages I compiled so I don't have to wait 2 days to get up and running again. _________________ "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we, they never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." I have never done this, but isn't it just "emerge -k <package>"? (Where <package> resides in $PKGDIR.) _________________ Please put [SOLVED] in your topic if you are a moron. |

Already compiled ebuilds can be packaged using quickpkg (which is probably part of the gentoolkit ebuild). So no need for recompiling every ebuild |

Does the bootstrap script support the use of binary packages to be used? I have begun yet, and I just wanted to know. _________________ "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we, they never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
