dmesg runs fine except it gives the following output:

Another issue is when i type simply hdparm /dev/hda
Code:

/dev/hda:
 multcount    = 16 (on)
 IO_support   =  1 (32-bit)
 unmaskirq    =  1 (on)

 readonly     =  0 (off)
 readahead    = 256 (on)
Segmentation fault

The third and final issue is related to irq settings. This is the output I have for /proc/interrupts
Code:

If it helps for you to know about apic for any reason, I have local apic disabled. Thanks. Sorry about the long output. It seems to run fine. I just thought that this was very unusual information. Maybe it can be useful to someone.

That happened to me when I changed the CPU granularity (???) on kernel configuration. It was something that was as 200Mhz and I set at 1000Mhz and got those NULL pointer errors...

The kernel version is 2.6.0-test4-mm2.

Is it a problem that I should worry about, or do you think it may be fixed in a later test release? Are they critical errors, or kernel warnings?

I don't remember that option in the kernel config. If it is in mm-sources then I didn't even change it from default.

I guess they are kernel oopses. I am having the same type of message with fdisk. I run fdisk -l /dev/hda and get a segfault.
