|
|
Hello all,
I've just installed the Gentoo distribution on a brand new Dell box. I've got a problem with the sound
system i.e. I can play everything with headphones plugged but unfortunately I can't get any sound
when using the small inside speaker. On the hardware side, the sound is managed by the
Intel 82801G.
I've installed the last alsa-driver-1.0.19 but when using a sound tester application (gnome-control-center/sound)
no sound at all from the inside speaker (but ok with headphones).
Last, the ascii bell character is well rendered and so the inside speaker seems in good running order.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Yes, the result is the same. Of course I've tried that first and then hope that the last alsadriver will solve.
Unfortunately it does not.
Cheers.
