hey
when i emerge something on my 1.4g computer, it distributes most of the work to my slower 700mgz sever.... my comp works at about 30% and the server at 100%
what can i do to make both computers work at 100%??

Use /usr/bin/distcc-config --set-hosts xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/x yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy/y to distribute the workload more evenly. ATM there is no balancing in distcc itself, but now that 2.10 is out, something like that could be coming "in the near future"
from the website:
distcc itself is now just about feature-complete. Most of the work that can be done now is "management" kinds of features: better monitor GUIs or better ways of discovering and checking available servers. |
