The install CD has a nice, expanded display. What settings do I need to duplicate that in my kernel/grub? I have uvesa running and in my initram setting. And I've tried a few resolutions from the list of valid resolutions uvesa shows, but I always boot at a really small resolution (with color and tux logo). I'm using an Nvidia 8800GTX and get an error about DDC not working, but I vaguely remember that as expected from my last install about a year ago. |

Tried looking at that page. Only part that seemed new to me was the recompile klibc. Still same results.
I should probably mention that my monitor is 16:10 format (1920x1200). Although I have tried a 4:3 format resolution like 1280x1024-32 too with no change in results (same logo is seen, but very low resolution is used). |
