Nokia 7210

Has anyone got this to work with any software ?
I have only tried through IrDA on my laptop, but I can't use it in Linux and I can use it windows with the same software. I tested with gsmlib (in portage) and gammu (http://www.mwiacek.com/english/gsm/gammu/gammu.html), both with win32 and linux versions.
None of them works with my Nokia 7210 under linux but both work with my father's old siemens S25, so I guess I have the IrDA kernel config right... Maybe an outdated module (irda, ircomm, ircomm-tty, irport, smc-ircc)...?
It must be it, since these 2 phones work ok with gsmlib and gammu win32 versions...
