I need to get the rndis kernel module. How do I get it and all the dependencies, in such a way that I could load them into the install cd's kernel.
Or just get them at all! |

Network device support -->
Wireless LAN -->
Wireless LAN (IEEE 802.11) (WLAN_80211) -->
[m] Softmac Prism54 support (P54_COMMON)
|---[m]Prism54 USB support (P54_USB)
You also need to make sure you have:
Networking support --> Wireless -->
[y] Generic IEEE 802.11 Networking Stack (mac80211)
Blessed be!

should I modularize this (mac80211)?
I won't be booting off this kernel, but I will be chrooting into this filesystem, and then loading the module. I will be booting the minimal live install cd.
The live cd may include prism54, it doesn't include rndis_wlan |

It is my experience that wireless likes modules. In the case of the setting indicated, you can do either module or yes. That setting isn't as critical as the one where you actually set the driver module to do its thing.

Actually, if the kernel is set the way it should be, ie everything in module form, yes, it will contain both rndis_wlan and prism54. Although, I'm betting that the prism54 is more supported since it's less "windoze" like. Even if it is the case that both modules would be loaded, rndis_lan won't work. According to what I read, rndis_wlan only supports one broadcom device...the 4323, I believe. Prism54 supports different chipsets, and different physical interfaces.
Blessed be!

I went on to the live cd, and tryed loading every driver possible (literally, I used bash to load all of them) and my card didn't show up.
does the live cd come with ndiswrapper, I got the drivers online. |

I doubt it, but don't quote me.
Blessed be!
