|
|
I am dual booting between Windows ME and Gentoo. Whenever I set the clock in Gentoo then it changes the clock in Windows but if I fix it in Windows then it is off again when I go back in to Gentoo.
Any ideas?

Your linux clock is set to gmt time, and windows believes it is the local time. Here's how to fix it: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=73503. The only problem if you have two operating systems is to decide which one gets to change for daylight saving...
Personally, I removed all clocks from the desktops and put a nice big real clock on the wall! |

And please don't send me any email form that machine. I hate it when I get email that hasn't been written yet. ![Wink ;)](images/smiles/icon_wink.gif) |

I think that PowerFactors point was that ignorance isn't a solution..
I have the same issue, and am trying to locate a way to fix it now.. When I get it fixed I'll post a howto.. _________________ 2800+XP A7N8X FX6600GT

It does make a big difference if you are compiling stuff, if you change a file & the touch is older than the .o file then the .o file won't get remade.
