i dont know if this could help, but try the following:

1.) # echo 'dev-db/mysql embedded' >> /etc/portage/package.use
2.) # echo 'x11-libs/qt-sql mysql' >> /etc/portage/package.use
3.) # emerge --sync
4.) # emerge world -uDNv
5.) # emerge kdebase-meta -v
