Hiya.
This one is a bit lost on me. I'm sure I had all my fonts working before I reinstalled everything but now I'm back up and running and everything is good apart from the fonts. I copied a load of .ttf files I copied from someones windows drive into the truetype folder and uncommented the line in my XF86Config which searches this folder. On rebooting I do get a longer list of fonts in the KDE control centre but clicking on a lot of these results in no change on the display. All the new ones all look like Arial or Verdana or something simple like that. Does anybody have a reasonable explaination for this behaviour?
Thanks

Edit your /etc/fonts/fonts.conf and add the fontpath in there. It should be self explanatory. Then, run fc-cache -fv and startx. Smile at your amazing fonts |
