K like, i've been playing with it for a few days. First my net.eth0 wouldn't work for soem reason, figured that out, got dhcpcd to work got my box online. Couldn't get modules to work. Recompiled kernel without some crap i put in there to begin with. Played around with it more, got some other problems. Emerged a vanilla-source kernel and compiled it instead. Net auto starts, still no module for my cd burner i get the !! during bootup but I can live with that till Im aways further in. Anyway, current predicament. I emerg'd the ati-drivers and then x86 and went to config it. After a few control-C's out i got all the stuff in and it failed to save. I did the generate a XFree86 -configure to give me a base one and see if it'd boot course it didn't. I got a hell of a lot of unresolved messages and it went boom. Im sorta lost at this point cause config failed to write and i am root. Help? heh
