There is a Framebuffer's delay while changing from one tty to another when X started, I'm using uvesafb driver from 2.6.28-r4 gentoo-sources, xorg-server-1.5.3-r5, using nvidia driver with direct rendering enabled and framebuffer mode is 1024x768-85. Is the delay caused by a big framebuffer resolution? Thanks |

I'm not definitive on this but I think that your hunch is correct. I also use the nvidia framebuffer and have noticed a delay both when operating with and without X. I think that this is just par for the course with some of these cards. If you use X you may have no need of a framebuffer in the first place. _________________ Linux, the OS for the obsessive-compulsive speed freak in all of us. |
