Hi, have upgraded to Gnome 2.24 stable about a month already. only have to deal with the x11-libs/libxklavier-3.8 problem and
But still have a strange issue with gvim an gedit, other applications probably have similar issues as well but essentially gvim is the
only GUI application I need for root. When I start gvim from terminal with root privilege, I got the following popped up message windows:

And the details for that error message is:

Also there is warning message from terminal for gvim:

If I try to run gedit, I will got:

I have no idea of the cause of the error, but as it only affect root account, I tried delete settings in .gconf for root but wouldn't solve the problem, any suggestions?
PS: I already downgrade x11-libs/libxklavier-3.8 to 3.6. |
