iwconfig in wireless-tools used to have this lovely command line option to select an access point based on BSSID instead of SSID, but it seems to have recently disappeared as an option. Anyone know why this might be, and if there are any ways I can achieve the same function?
Thanks |

Hi, maybe you should try wpa_supplicant and configure your network inside /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf |

That's a possibility, though not ideal since this is for some work I do diagnosing wireless AP's where it's particularly useful to be able to connect to a particular AP quickly. Thanks though, I'll see what wpa_supplicant can do. |
