hello;
Since a long time i never been able to make my orbicam work properly.
I have loaded the different modules but always have a black screen and my cam is never turn on.
Despite this, when i do cat /dev/video0 my orbicam switch on with binary streaming on stdout.
I tried to find a solution here and there and it seemed but never find a solution.
I used amsn, xawtv, camorama etc...but none of them is working.

ade05fr,
Please show us the lspci or lsusb output that shows your orbicam.
Marketing names are not useful as companies often change the electronics inside devices without changing names.
The above commands tell what is really inside.
You may need to emerge pciutils and/or usbutils.

Hey again
i finally achived to make it work with amsn.
I have installed libv4l and then do a
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l1compat.so amsn
But the image is ugly, dark and not clear. I cant change my image settings through amsn.
How can i correct this ?
