yeah this just happened within the past day. all of a sudden i can't access my webcam at all. dmesg reports:
pwc Failed to set LED on/off time.
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
pwc Failed to set video mode QSIF@10 fps; return code = -110
and i have also gotten an error message saying it will not accept an address
if anyone has any ideas. i heard something about apic and usb IRQ assigns. but thats about it. |

nevermind about this one guys i got it working. just a perfect example of how you can let something simple slip by when you compile the kernel. i had the alternate uhci drivers installed and everything had worked, but then the webcam just went. then i realized that the uhci driver became available if i siad N to the alternate driver. i have seen this error pop up on the web with some other guys so double check this one i guess. because your usb may work with the alternate driver, but like in my case, the normal uhci is better for my mobo. |
