I have install fluxbox, and slim.

I have had a few problems.

Slim takes forever to load.
Fluxbox starts 3 xterms and a clock upon login, how do I fix this.

I would also like that when logged in as root, I get dropped in to terminal.

EDIT:

Also if I try to close the xterms, I get logged out?!?!

That sounds more like twm than fluxbox.
I don't use slim, so I don't know what is going wrong.

Yes, as ppurka mentioned, I don't think you're actually running fluxbox.

The default slim install just loads whatever you have specified in your .xinitrc, so you'll have to set this up to run fluxbox

Code:
echo startfluxbox > ~/.xinitrc

I don't believe this is something that slim can actually do, though of course you can escape out of X to the console at any time by hitting CTRL+ALT+F1.

You could of course set up your root's ~/.xinitrc to just start one big huge xterm... Check out the '-geometry' option in xterm(1)

i think it's "xorg's minimal" thing, not a fluxbox
first give us the outpout of that command
Code:
grep -e sessions -e login_cmd /etc/slim.conf
