I have a epia 5000 but it doesn't have a cdrom drive but it can boot from the network. Is there a gentoo live version on flopppydrive? i have access to internet and if booted to the networkshares. |

No i don't have a diskless system it does have a hard disk. i just want to know how to boot the live cd from the network |

I had a smilar situation
I used the slackware floppy discs, mounted a dir with a stage 1 tarball in via nfs, copied it across to the local hd, and continued as normal |

The problem with the Epia board is, that it has no connector for a floppy drive.
I'd say, that if you want to install gentoo, you'll have to connect (at least temporarily) a cdrom drive ... |

but its does support a usb floppydrive and i have one.My powersupply isn't powerfull enough too have a cdrom drive (55watt passive)
edit: after booting in slackware did you install the system directly or did you first boot the live cd from your hd becouse slackware doesn't have emerge |
