Hi,
when I try to install quicktime4linux I get the following error:

I have a K6-2 and I also try the following workarounds:

CFLAGS="-march=i686" emerge quicktime4linux
...
CFLAGS="-march=i586" emerge quicktime4linux
...
CFLAGS="-march=i486" emerge quicktime4linux
...
CFLAGS="-march=i386" emerge quicktime4linux
|
But I always get the same error.
Does anyone knows how to solve the problem?

try deleting the downloaded file (whatever it's called) from /usr/portage/distfiles, and re-emerging -- this was the dl is done again.
also: are you overclocking your processor in any way? what about poor cooling? this usually happens under those conditions.
