Am I mistaking or is gentoo's imapd implementation will load all the authdaemonds?

I had several issues with imap ever since I installed it and, altough fudging a bit at the begenning, managed to get it working, I end up with an unstable box.

The pointer was the Squid server that started to quit from time to time, to wich point I monitored its status using top . That's when I noticed the authdaemond.plain that are HUGED!!! Starting the default number of daemonds will eat up all of the 128MB of rams.

Now there are so many auth modules that I don't know which I can disable. Ok, ldap is obvious, but others are less.

All I need is plain pam and vmailmgr authentication. I'm getting frustrated at hoovering around the spaghetty linked scripts and conf files of courier.

Trying to figure it out, courier's authdaemond don't start anymore :'(
