Hi Folks,
I have a general question. I just built a Intel Core 2 Quad box with a Q9400.
I have an Asus P5Q Motherboard. It looks like I cannot get the machine to shut down unless I hold the power buttion down for several seconds.
Any time I shut down from Gentoo, everything stops and then starts back up again. Same thing happens when I just hit the power button.
Any ideas? |

Check your bios and or jumpers on your motherboard, the wiring to the power button could also be sent to reset and vice versa or just wrong in general.

Can you clarify your comment on the power button wiring? |
