I've decided to use Seamonkey instead of Firefox on one of my systems because Firefox hogs the CPU on that particular machine. Some sites are starting to demand Firefox with annoying "upgrade to Firefox" messages even though little or no functionality is missing. I didn't see a preference option in Seamonkey to pose as Firefox (like Opera does or used to do). Is there a program I can use to start a web browser of my choice that sends Firefox as the browser name? _________________ decibel Linux: https://decibellinux.org

Open a tab in Seamonkey and type "about:config" in the location bar, search for useragent, and change the value to Firefox/3.0.8. _________________ Time is what keeps everything from happening all at once. |
