At one point in the guide, the following is written:
Quote: | Check /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/net for your card. |
What does this do as after typing it, I lose my prompt and only have a ">". Can't exit or anything... |

type
ls /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/net
it will replace `uname -r` with the kernel version number exp. 2.4.20 whatever kernel you are curretly running on. _________________ Friends don't let friends send HTML email |

Thanks, I hate reading the guide and not knowing what the commands actually do. |

Just a quick note, whenever you get a ">" prompt, it is usually because you forgot to clost a quotation make somewhere (either single ' or double ") To get out of it, simply close the quotation (by entering the mark in again) and press enter. _________________ Laptop:Sager 5670
