|
|
Hi,
I would love to see an ebuild script for the Simple Instant Messenger - SIM. (http://sim.shutoff.spb.ru/) It's a ICQ Messenger for KDE which has much more functionality than Kopete. For example it supports File-Transer, Chat and SMS-Messages. I'm not (yet) good enough in building ebuilds. Most times they only work on my machine .
*Hoping someone will do this soon* _________________ Many greetings from Germany,

I haven't tried it by myself yet. Because of lack of time.
But I'll do so. At the latest when a ebuild is available! _________________ Many greetings from Germany,

Hi,
I made an ebuild now, which works fine for me, and as I think it should work on every other machine too
You can find it at Gentoo-Bugzilla. Bug-Nr. is 4915
Hope that it comes to portage tree soon! _________________ Many greetings from Germany,

hmm...
for me it works perfect.
Does ICQ Go works for you? (http://go.icq.com)
Perhaps there's a problem with your Account. Have you tried to create a new account with SIM? _________________ Many greetings from Germany,

The ebuild seems fine here too, using gentoo 1.1a with gcc3.1 profile, and kde3.0.2
Works fine behind firewall, and looks good |

Well, Kopete uses local contact-lists, etc.
Kopete uses none of the new ICQ v8-Features. So I would suggest you to try ICQ-Go. If this works it's really a SIM-Problem. Than you should connect the author of SIM. _________________ Many greetings from Germany,
