su - := permission denied

Hi,

I do not want to login as root. I want to login as a normal user,
and when needed su to root. I always get permission denied
when trying this, so I'm a bit handycapped, as I wanted to
access this machine via ssh to install the missing parts. And I
can't do this without root rights.

Any help appreciated,

try putting yourself into the wheel group.

any user, who is allowed to su to root should be in there...

uh, and btw, anybody talked to you about your sig-pic yet.

i think its a "sickpic" and it is definitely misplaced in a signature.
(as a signature is not a goof place for commercials or banners)
