Hi all,
I have Thunderbird 2.0.0.21 running on Linux Seaborgium 2.6.28-gentoo-r5 #1 SMP Sat Apr 25 19:53:05 CEST 2009 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux.
Since a while I can't save or insert any attachments from/into messages. When I hit "save as" or "save all", a dialog box briefly appears but is immediately followed by a crash:
Quote: |
/usr/libexec/mozilla-launcher: line 119: 7999 Segmentation fault $(type -P aoss) "$mozbin" $xulparams "$@"
thunderbird-bin exited with non-zero status (139)

I did. I also tried to emerge the binary build, with no success.
Revdep-rebuild does not do anything (no broken libraries). |

Tried everything, nothing works. The problem does is manifesting in my other computers.
I've given up and switched to Claws-mail... |

I had the same problem. Inserting any attachments into messages was followed by crash.
Solution in my case:
strace -ff -p -v -o debug.thunderbird.txt thunderbird
Now, we got many files like -> debug.thunderbird.txt.XXXX
Check the last files for: " killed by SIGSEGV ".
In my case: Last used directory for inserting files was deleted. Thunderbird try to open it and a crash occurred. _________________ --
