Ciao a tutti.
Ho una fotocamera digitale Minolta.
Leggendo qua e là in rete, sono riuscito a configurare Gentoo per usarla.
Carico i miei moduli del kernel, la monto come un disco SCSI e scarico le foto.
I moduli del kernel che ho abilitato e che devo caricare sono (vado a memoria) usb-uhci e usb-storage.
Esiste un modo per caricarli in automatico?
Non all'avvio con modules.autoload ovviamente.
Vorrei che tali moduli si caricassero da soli quando viene rilevata la fotocamera sul bus USB.
Chiedo troppo?
Sono pigro e vorrei evitare di fare il modprobe "a mano" dei due moduli ogni volta che mi servono, ma allo stesso tempo vorrei evitare di caricarli se non mi servono....

Sono quei moduli che fanno si che la fotocamera usb venga riconosciuta.
Quindi la risposta e' no, e' come voler far funzionare una stampante
senza driver.

Immaginavo fosse così.. 
Riformulo la domanda..
E' possibile caricare i moduli tramite uno script bash?
Potrei farmi uno script che carica i moduli che mi servono, mi monta la fotocamere e mi copia le foto in una directoty..
Andrebbe eseguito con privilegi di root giusto?

Allora non sono matto. Non osavo dirlo perchè mi sembrava di spararla troppo grossa, ma io i moduli non li carico mai a mano (quasi...), ci pensa il mio bel kernel a fare tutto.
Per l'amico che poneva la domanda, ti riporto l'help dell'opzione che giustamente Cerri ti diceva di abilitare:
CONFIG_KMOD:
Normally when you have selected some drivers and/or file systems to
be created as loadable modules, you also have the responsibility to
load the corresponding modules (using the programs insmod or
modprobe) before you can use them. If you say Y here however, the
kernel will be able to load modules for itself: when a part of the
kernel needs a module, it runs modprobe with the appropriate
arguments, thereby loading the module if it is available. (This is a
replacement for kerneld.) Say Y here and read about configuring it
in Documentation/kmod.txt.

Non ricordo a memoria se ho abilitato quell'opzine nel kernel....ora non sono a casa e non posso controllare, stasera controllerò!
Cmq.. cosi a occhio direi di no.... infatti mi devo sempre caricare i moduli con modprobe.
