Wow, I'm shocked. I expected a delay with Firefox and compiling X11 but never would I have imagined compiling wpa_supplicant would take this long. Must be the graphical libraries and GUI which it offers, huh?
(Yes, this is a pretty weak system. -- 750Mhz Duron, 640 MB PC133 RAM )
I'm pretty happy with Gentoo though thus far though. I love the extra control that I have. The only thing is that portage still seems somewhat magical to me in how it works. I get the general premise and how to work with it now, but its going to take some tiem before I feel comfortable with it. |
