This is probably a trivial problem but its started pissing me off, when I click K, leave, logout it shuts down the computer instead of just logging me out. Any help please? |

I'm running Fedora 10, Kubuntu 9.04 and gentoo ~amd64 with kde 4.2.2 and have not seen that on any of their kde 4 desktops. |

Have you had a look at the kdm settings?
Perhaps it runs halt when you logout or something. |

Fixed this by checking 'confirm logout' in the session manager settings... this kinda sucks tho I didn't have to confirm logout/reboot etc before. Is this a bug? |

I would probably call that a bug if the default on that was to shutdown. After all, the button is called "logout" |

I have the same problem. Sounds like a bug to me... under no circumstances does 'logout' mean 'shutdown'. |
