Gentoo server: can't access to pop3 from subnet

Hello everybody,

I am trying to setup a gentoo server having two network interfaces.
eth0 10.0.0.1 (which is the DHCP server network interface)
eth1 192.168.1.x connected to the Internet and obtains an IP address from a router.

My 10.0.0.0/8 subnet can only access to Internet through Squid, but now, I should also allow to download/send e-mails using pop3 and smtp.
It would be necessary to allow antivirus connections for uptates, but it's another issue.

I am using tcpdump to see if there are requests to the gentoo server on port 110, but nothing arrives. This is making me crazy from days.
I don't understand why!

Can someone help me to solve this problem please?

What daemons are you using for mail server? postfix, qmail, sendmail or even something else? Too few details to solve your problem.

Nothing at the moment, but now, I can browse the Internet throgh ip_forward and NAT (iptables).
Next step will be to use squid in transparent mode. But also POP3 access should be available.
