Ciao a tutti,
ho appena finito di installare gentoo con gnome e funziona davvero bene, unica eccezione: non riesco ad abilitare il supporto DVB in totem.
sia ubuntu che archlinux, mi riconoscevano il pennino dvb della mediacom in automatico e aggiungevano la voce "play dvb-0" direttamente nel menu di totem.
Ho:
1) abilitato la USE dvb quando ho installato Gentoo
2) ricompilato il kernel col supporto per DVB devices nella voce Multimedia Devices
3) ho installato gst-plugins-dvb
ma nulla!
dando dmesg compare:

Esattamente come in Ubuntu

Ok tutto a posto!
Non sapendo quale fosse il modulo esatto da caricare, ho dato un emerge hal, inserendo il demone hald con rc-update. Rusultato: me l'ha riconosciuto in automatico ed è comparso il menu nel Totem.
visto però che che Totem-Gstreamer non legge bene il mio DVB e il Totem-Xine in Gentoo, a differenza di Ubuntu o Archlinux, non è presente nei repositories, ho installato Kaffeine, ma non me ne pento considerando che, a differenza di Totem, può anche registrare |
