Hi guys,
I am unable to run 2.6.0-testX kernel, because my encrypted partitions use CryptoAPI aes and losetup appereantly won't work with that and the 2.6 kernel. I also tried the new util-linux-2.12 - but it doens't work on 2.4 with my setup, so I didn't bother.
I asked some people, and found this explanation of what aes encryption is best to use to make it work for both 2.4 and 2.6:
http://mail.nl.linux.org/linux-crypto/2002-10/msg00102.html
it seems loop-aes is a lot better than the crypto-api implementation, and I would so very much like to use that then.
I remembered that loop-aes was once in the tree, but now I can see it has been removed - anyone has any idea why that is? _________________ Best regards,
