Ok. Here it goes. I got LDAP running successfully last night, after a bit of fighting with PAM. Now I can authenticate my users with PAM. Horray! Now comes the big question. How can I create non-shell users with LDAP, and allow them to recieve mail? I will be adding a few hundred mail users, and I don't want them to have a shell account. Since I have LDAP working, I am thinking there would be a way to do that with it. Is this true? Can I do this? I can always go the mysql route, but the whole point of ldap is to have a central user db. Thanks, and sorry for the stupid questions. |
