On two different laptops, as soon as I upgraded to 2.6.28, I no longer have the battery indicator in the kde panel.

The control center shows the following message:

"Your computer seems to have a partial ACPI installation. ACPI was probably enabled, but some of the sub-options wer not - you need to enable at least 'AC Adaptor' and 'Control Method Battery' and then rebuild your kernel."

I haven't changed anything, and still have CONFIG_ACPI_AC and CONFIG_ACPI_BATTERY enabled in the kernels.

Does anyone know what happend to the battery indicator?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Did you manage to fix this issue?

Or did it eventually resolve by itself?

Cheers
