On two different laptops, as soon as I upgraded to 2.6.28, I no longer have the battery indicator in the kde panel.
The control center shows the following message:
"Your computer seems to have a partial ACPI installation. ACPI was probably enabled, but some of the sub-options wer not - you need to enable at least 'AC Adaptor' and 'Control Method Battery' and then rebuild your kernel."
I haven't changed anything, and still have CONFIG_ACPI_AC and CONFIG_ACPI_BATTERY enabled in the kernels.
Does anyone know what happend to the battery indicator?

Or did it eventually resolve by itself?
