2.6.28-gentoo-r5 #4 SMP x86_64 Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7500 @ 2.20GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
x11-drivers/ati-drivers-8.552-r2
This is a brand new install using the gentoo-sources and xfce. The problem that I am having is that when I unplug the power, xfce gets filled with jagged spots and jagged artifacts of icons, then white dots everywhere, then I pretty much have to ssh in to reboot since there is no way to get X back to normal. I have tried multuple kernel configurations, but they all result in the same issue. I'm hopeing that someone else can offer some guidane as to what I need to check next.
Major screen corruption!
Please help. |
