depends on what smtp server you are using.
I use sendmail, and have been using mimedefang in conjunction with spamassassin and amavis.
for the actual virus scanning i use mcafee's command line scanner for linux, which integrates with amavis.

yes I have sendmail....I want to disinfect messages as they pass through the server and I want to use free software that has regular virus definition updates. Which virus engine would suit best to work with amavis ? also could briefly explain how to setup sendmail with amavis and a virus scanner. |
